Potassium silicate is a highly soluble and plant-available source of potassium and silica.

In powdered form, it is an inexpensive silica foliar.

While it can replace Potassium sulfate as a soil drench or pre-plant amendment, it costs ~7x more per unit of potassium. It also has a very high pH, so should be used in moderation. Like Potassium sulfate, it dissolves in water easily due to its high solubility.

Note that Potassium silicate is generally not allowed in organic production. We offer it because it is the best source of non-bottled silica.
