Solubor is used to provide fast-acting available boron. It is allowed in organic farming and is the choice product when boron is low on a soil test or tissue test.

Solubor should always be dissolved in water and drenched, sprayed, or fertigated for even distribution. Dry applications are not recommended because the quantities required are too small to apply evenly.

The common range of B foliar rates are 0.1-0.5 lbs/acre of total Boron. If you aim for the middle of that range at 0.25 lbs/acre of total B that's 1.22 lbs/acre of Solubor, which is equivalent to12.6 grams of Solubor per 1000 sq ftof coverage. Start at 25-50% of that rate and work up.

An equally effective alternative to Solubor is Borax, applied at 2x the rate of Solubor.
